Description
A Chinese Pottery candle holder, from Tang Dynasty, Gongyao. White glazed ceramic China, Tang dynasty (618-906) Candle stick with a coiled dragon around the body Carried by a round base Sculpturally crafted dragon The top section forms a cylindrical segment with an also wide and molded rim This piece comes with a thermoluminescence analysis report from Oxford. The dating of this piece is consistent with the results of an Oxford Thermoluminescence Analysis Report. The last images shows a similar porcelain lamp sold in March 2006 auction of the Christie's. This image is for your reference only.There is also a very similar piece in Boston Art Museum.
Condition
Condition: Losses, scratches, dings, chips, frets, old hairlines and cracks. Old repairs and restorations visible in photos. The height measures 27.5 cm.
